Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Treepreneurs (treepreneur.vercel.app, the “Service”). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Treepreneurs is

Treepreneurs is a social network built for entrepreneurs: a feed, matching with founders/freelancers/investors/mentors, a forum, a cofounder/opportunity board, direct messages, courses and communities. Features may be added, changed or removed as the product evolves.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to give accurate information — your name, business details and stated intentions should be genuine, since real people rely on them to decide who to connect with, invest in, or partner with.
• One account per person. Don't create an account to impersonate someone else or a business you don't represent.

3. Content you post

You own the content you post (posts, comments, messages, project and cofounder listings, course material). By posting it, you give us a license to store, display and distribute it within the Service as needed to operate it — for example, showing your post in other members' feeds. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with others through normal use (e.g. a message you sent) or that we're required to keep.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, fraudulent, or promotes a scam — including fake investment opportunities or misrepresenting a business's traction, funding or legitimacy.
• Harasses, threatens, or discriminates against others.
• Infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
• Is spam, or unrelated bulk solicitation.
• Impersonates another person or entity.

We can remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, based on our own review or a report from another member.

4. Dealing with other members — this is on you

Treepreneurs helps you find cofounders, investors, mentors and opportunities — we don't vet, endorse, or guarantee any person, business, or investment opportunity posted on the platform. Any agreement, investment, partnership, or transaction you enter into with another member is strictly between you and them. Do your own due diligence, and never send money or sensitive financial information to someone based solely on what they've posted here.

5. Premium features

We may offer optional paid features (for example, additional profile customization). If and when we do, we'll describe what's included, the price, and how to cancel, before you pay for anything.

6. Intellectual property

The Treepreneurs name, logo, and the Service's design and code belong to us. Your content stays yours, as described in Section 3.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will lead to any particular business, hiring, or investment outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Treepreneurs and its owner won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses from interactions or transactions with other members.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose a risk to other members, or for any other reason with reasonable notice where practical.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by generally applicable law in your country of residence, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you.
